　　YIPPEE NEW OHAU VIDEO !!

　　I haaad 2 ideas for a video focused on the reality of Beau's situation before this came to me and I sank my teeth into it full force. Like basically almost immediately after I was listening to this song (for the first time in AGES) I started working on this. I initially started work on an original animation meme to It's Fine by Parasol and lost motivation for it a lot more quickly than I was really happy with. I might try to come back to it in the future but I'm not counting on it too much judging by how dropping animations goes with me :-( The other one was Phony (covered by Will Stetson) but I may still do that in the future !! I have ideas for OHAU vids in general but there's not a lot of incentive for me to start on any of them too soon. They will just be floating around in my head till I get a whim or something.

　　I wanted to do more to be obvious about what's actually going on in this video but I couldn't express certain things without breaking the flow of the video so! It's very vague ! (I also didn't really feel like doing something I had a reasonable idea for) WHICH is fine since I don't make my videos as a means to tell the story, they're more... fun supplemental things than anything else, they're more enjoyable I think when you know what's happening beforehand. But I'm happy that folks enjoy the animation itself anyways :-) This was such a blast to do even if it's a little up in the air I LOVED getting to animate my favorite guy. Hehe. I love Beau's silly college garb he's so cute.

　　Something something the flow of this is supposed to be, I guess akin to taking a peek at what's actually going on in his head. Or I guess like, an objective look at what's going on behind the person he is in the Resort. Like I said I couldn't do as much to express the full picture as I hoped to for the sake of the video but I'm still very happy with this !! It's a very very general idea, I think. Like barebones just the basic face value idea. Something with him and Enola. + Puppy having something to do with it. I was going to give him a little more proper screentime at the end but I didn't want to convolute it too much; what I had thought of would've made the video feel like it cuts off too early, I think, rather than reach a resolution. And also I don't think it would have worked composition-wise because there's already a lot of focus on Beau face-forward, it would've been too much like the "do I need to lie" bit and I wanted to keep all the motion in this fresh.

　　ANYWAY that's not to howl for ever and ever about the process with this it's just something I like talking about. I put a lot of thought into the videos I make :-) Working on this has revealed to me that there might be something about OHAU's worldbuilding that I'll have to add to the story's introductory page. It's something I could talk about mid-chapter but it'd disrupt the flow of the storytelling by the time I get to it. But it's also relatively not THAT important of a Thing To Know, it's not a theme that sits through the entire story the way that paragons do. But like, it is part of the story in places, for the kind of weight it holds. I'll have to remember to do that at some point.

　　Culturally, in this Imaginary version of earth, bells are significant to families and furthermore continued generations. They come in many shapes and sizes but usually they're some variation of something you can wear, commonly chokers or bracelets. Mostly they are worn by children, and though not uncommon to see them on grown folks they're usually kept in a safe place rather than worn regularly and publicly, because of their traditional importance to a bloodline and what it means to lose/damage them. They're essentially heirlooms; the older a bell is the more important it is, and depending on which side of the family it's from it could be more or less valued by its heirs. The bells are passed down to children and new ones are made if there are not enough to distribute to every child. It depends on the individual family, but sometimes if a family member doesn't have children they can pass their received bells to their siblings' children. The idea is to encourage strengthening a bloodline and valuing family. Losing or damaging a bell is vastly taboo and considered representative of the individual breaking ties with their family, or even shattering their bloodline entirely. Usually if someone breaks their bell it is to signify they are starting entirely anew for any variety of reasons, but it's more accepted to simply go the route of passing the bell on to a sibling, or giving the bell back to their parent(s).

　　I can copypaste that paragraph into the code sometime. maybe. I'm writing it down and not elaborating why exactly because although I do want to make this information known for reference I don't want to go on about how that correlates with this video. I'm not looking to elaborate on the actual story much because hey! Someday I AM gonna talk about those things! Today is not that day though. It would be weird of me to make an entire page just to puke about OHAU in detail in the progression archive. The vagueness in these entries is something you're gona have to get used to LOL

Otherwise! Hehe. By association. I finally settled on Beau's snap outfit. After literally years. I have Never been fully satisfied with it so I thought you know. Maybe I should go the opposite direction of suits and labcoats and surgically-appropriate attire ? And wow ! It worked ! It's just me but he reminds me a little of a suburban father ( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧ GHGRHRGHFD
I'M DIGGING IT THOUGH. I THINK IT WORKS REALLY WELL. It's kind of funny to me. He is the personified equivalent of an OSHA violation.

　　I decided his college attire could be basically the same for parallel reasons. Mostly for the purpose of differentiating him in the video and also I literally wrote the lyrics on this page. But also he just looks so nice in a sweater vest. And for all I know that could just be his taste in casual clothing. It could be another reason for him to bristle at Clover all the time (FASHION SENSE STEALER......) But I think it's also I'm just obsessed with collared shirts with sweaters over them. That's also Mel's bell he has his hair up with :-) I also brought back his stupid little cross necklace from some of my very earliest iterations. For fun. Just cause. I think it completes the look.

- Kyu; I love turning a little at my desk and seeing my Hello Kitty clock. That's my friend up there on my wall. Witnessing my insane chicken scratch
